Look at these coat hooks from Allyson in Australia!

DIY Coat Hooks are a quick and easy project that will update an entryway or mudroom!  This coat hook was done by Old2Bold and it turned out amazing.  To get this look, Allyson used Catalina.  Follow these steps to make a coat hook:

  1. Find an old cabinet door and vintage door handle.
  2. Clean them well.
  3. A light sanding is recommended on the door. If you are painting over peeling paint, scrape and sand to smooth.
  4. If there are holes, fill them with wood filler and then sand smooth.
  5. Before using MudPaint, shake can vigorously and stir thoroughly.
  6. Apply Catalina. to the door with a MudPaint brush, working in the direction of the grain of the wood.
  7. For a more distressed look, paint any which way.
  8. Most surfaces need only a single coat.
  9. If applying a second coat, allow to dry, and then lightly sand between coats.
  10. Allow to dry completely before sanding if distressing.
  11. Apply the vintage door handle to the painted door with screws.
