Matte Finish Clear Coat – Just as picky on our finishing products as we are in our paint, we scoured the globe for the finest top coat we could find…and after searching the market, we just decided to brew up our own! Our Matte Finish Clear Coat finish not only holds up to wiping, cleaning chemicals and general wear, but it doesn’t show marks and spills as easily.  It also maintains a nice matte sheen and goes on easily with a brush or our new Sponge Applicator  – more on how to apply our matte finish clear coat at our blog post here.  This finish coat is durable enough to use on kitchen tables and cabinets, as well.  There is nothing else like it on the market and it has wonderful reviews!

4 oz – Perfect for a small project like a chair or side table.

8 oz  – Perfect for small to medium-sized projects.

Love the matte finish. Used to coat butternut mud paint on dresser. Paint dries quickly, which is great, but also means it dries on the brush no matter how quickly it was applied. So the brush needed to be cleaned a couple times during project. Still, the end result is amazing and love the product!

This is my fave finishing product for any piece of furniture that I paint. I’ve tried top coats from other furniture paint companies and the MudPaint Matte Finish Clear Coat is thee best! I typically do 3 coats on the top of a piece and just 1 on the body of the piece, making sure each coat is dry in between. I’ve also noticed that it’s best to not put anything on top of your piece for a couple days while the product is curing.
