China White is a classic, beautiful, white paint and easily one of our top-sellers.  Our China White color is less “pure white” than our Simply White, but less heavily tinted and less “cream” than our Manor White.  It sits squarely – and perfectly – between the two with just a hint of warmth.

MudPaint is a clay and water-based paint that is easy to apply, offers great coverage, and has a smooth matte finish.  MudPaint is eco-friendly, LEED-compliant and it’s unique, clay-based formula with natural earthen materials requires little prep work and no waxing for a smooth coat. I just wanted to drop a line to say how easy it was to work with this product. I did prime first, then 2 coats of MudPaint in China White, topped off with your matte protective Clear Coat. The color China White was perfect for my kitchen cabinets, which I had painted last year and was unhappy because they were too stark white. China White has just a whisper of warmth. The paint goes on smooth and dries very fast. I did two coats of paint and one coat of the matte clear coat, which I felt was necessary for the amount of use kitchen cabinets receive. I would like to mention that dry times should be noted on the label on the cans. To be safe, I waited 3 hours between paint coats and let my clear coat dry overnight before rehanging my cabinet doors.

China White and black wax helped complete my home office. I was able to combine these two colors on a repurposed supply cabinet and French Provencial writing desk. The combination perfectly matched my vintage student desk and its natural patina. Great product!!

China white mud paint is so easy to use - impossible for your project to look anything but great. Just a general note - it does dry very fast, but with a very slight but lovely veneer that you don't normally get with chalk paint. I used it on an old dresser that I later distressed with 220 sandpaper.

    The experience with MudPaint has been exceptional. I spoke to 2 different people on 2 different occasions and both times all my questions were answered thoroughly and very good advice was given that I listened to and my project came out better than I had hoped. The paint was wonderful. I used the clear coat finish and to my delight, it enhanced the color even more. I think the company needs to stress that point.
